Jill graduated from Butler University (cum laude, 2002) with a  Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with High Honors and a minor in Political Science. Jill went on to attend law school at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law--Bloomington. While at IU, Jill was a member of the Federal Communications Law Journal, Women’s Law Caucus, and the Protective Order Project. Jill also participated in the Federal Courts Clinic, Community Legal Clinic, and Mediation Clinic, becoming a registered Domestic Relations Mediator. Jill received awards for achievement in Legal Research and Writing and Law & Sports. She earned her JD in 2005.

Jill joined Hart Bell as an associate in 2005 and became partner in 2011. She is licensed to practice law in both Indiana and Illinois. Jill specializes in helping people with the needs of their families, including representing clients in dissolutions, adoptions, guardianships, post-dissolution proceedings, and other family matters. Jill also serves as a guardian ad litem in family cases advocating for the best interests of children. She also represents families in children in need of services (CHINS) cases. Jill also has a diverse litigation practice including employment law matters, worker’s compensation matters, and insurance litigation. Jill belongs to the Indiana State Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Personal

Jill is married to Kyle Doggett, a third grade teacher at Franklin Elementary School, and the proud mother of two boys, Lucas and Calvin. Jill enjoys keeping up with her active boys, reading, traveling, and running.

Jill is a Rotarian and is on the Rotary Foundation Board. Jill is also a member of the board of the Knox County Community Foundation, a member of the Knox County Bar Association, and an active member in many capacities at her church, St. John’s UCC.
